Based off the white marble statue of Undine by Chauncey Bradley Ives. The story of Undine is about a water nymph who falls in love with a human. He eventually leaves her for a human and by their laws she now has to kill him. This is the moment she rises up from the fountain cloaked in veil and water to take her beloved's life. I was so moved by the statue and the story, that I attempted to depict her in watercolor.
Traditionally painted watercolor artwork printed on 11x17 inch Heavy Weight Etching paper (similar texture to watercolor paper 130lb). Paper and ink is archival, meaning it won't yellow or fade with time.
No watermark on actual product. Comes unframed.
