Art prints of my Winter Growth painting about the beauty and hardships of growth. The first of a four season set. Butterflies are the perfect metaphors for growth since they literally shed their old skin and dissolve unnecessary body parts to grow wings. This metamorphosis is a vulnerable and uncomfortable emotion and I wished to capture that in this very personal series.
Original is done with ink, watercolor, and gouache. Art prints are printed on Heavy Weight Mohawk Felt paper (similar texture to watercolor paper 130lb).
