Based off the hilarious and romantic mystery anime, Apothecary Diaries. One of my favorites! I wanted to depict Maomao and Jinshi's awkward and tense relationship in my Art Nouveau style. This is the scene when she is dancing on the rooftop and nearly falls off. Jinshi catches her and their face gets awkwardly close and nearly kiss. I made some modifications to her dress.
Hand painted with ink and watercolor and printed on Mohawk Felt paper (similar texture to watercolor paper 130lb).
